I love cooking for my family. And now that I am in digital painting, I tried to paint this Chicken Afritada in Photoshop using Wacom pen tablet.

– 1 lb. chicken, cut into serving pieces
– 2 potatoes, cubed
– 1 carrot, sliced
– 1 green bell pepper, sliced
– 1 small pouch tomato sauce
– 1 can green peas
– 2 bay leaves
– 4 whole black peppers
– 1 onion, chopped
– 2 tsp. garlic, minced
– 2 cups water
– 1/2 tsp. brown sugar
– 2 tbsp. cooking oil
– Salt and ground black pepper to taste

1. Season the chicken with salt and pepper, and stir fry it until it’s brown. Set it aside.
2. Heat the oil in a pan and sauté the onion and garlic until the onion softens.
3. Add the potato, carrot, chicken, bay leaves, whole black pepper and cook for at least 10 minutes.
4. Pour in the tomato sauce and water, then cover the pan. Let it boil and continue cooking over medium heat for 10 minutes.
5. Add the green peas, green bell pepper, and brown sugar. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.
6. Add salt and pepper according to your taste.
7. Serve and enjoy!
