Chapter 5 – Lora’s Wishes

Lora lay on the soft grass under the velvet canopy of the night sky, her eyes tracing the twinkling constellations that seemed to whisper ancient secrets. Her heart swelled as she made her wishes, speaking silently to the stars that guided countless travelers before her.

“I wish for the stars to lead me on the path of righteousness,” she whispered, “to accompany me on every journey, to awaken me when doubt creeps in, and to tickle my heart when love arrives.”

The moon, serene and silver, rose slowly above the horizon, bathing the earth in a soft, ethereal glow. Lora felt a warmth in her chest, as if the moon itself acknowledged her plea. “May goodness fill my heart,” she murmured, “may love grow endlessly, may courage rise within me, and may my body remain strong and healthy to fulfill my will.”

She paused, taking a deep breath, letting the scent of night-blooming flowers mingle with the cool air. She understood that she had time enough to pursue her dreams and desires, yet she chose only what truly mattered—what nurtured her creativity, what sparked her joy, and what inspired her to live fully, with purpose and gratitude.

Her thoughts wandered to the value of life itself. She realized that everything she sought—love, beauty, harmony, inspiration—already existed within her. God had provided all that she needed for a fulfilling life. She was the architect of her own destiny, the designer and builder of her own path. Only she could determine her satisfaction, and she vowed to seek only that which nurtured her soul.

Even in solitude, the wilderness became her mentor. The rustling of leaves, the soft murmur of the river, and the distant call of night birds taught her contentment, resilience, and happiness in being alone. She let her imagination wander to a distant, exotic place, and to her astonishment, her thoughts manifested:

Uriel appeared. At the moment she almost surrendered to doubt, at the time her heart ached with longing, he arrived. Strong, calm, and radiant, he wrapped her in his arms. “I missed you so much,” he whispered. “I love you, Lora. My duty kept me away, but now I am here.”

Uriel was no ordinary man. A member of a Special Forces unit dedicated to eradicating dark elements enslaving humanity for millennia, he bore the weight of responsibility yet carried his love for her with unwavering devotion. Together, they walked toward their love nest, leaving behind the emptiness created by his absence.

“You inspire me,” Lora said softly, gazing into his eyes. “Your love awakens me to the beauty of the universe and the secrets it holds.”

The rain-scented breeze caressed them as they stood under an ancient oak, the water of a nearby waterfall sparkling like liquid crystal. In that moment, tranquility enveloped them; the soft harmony of nature mingled with the rhythm of their hearts. “In this dreamland,” she continued, “we can explore freely, dance, and share nurturing kisses.”

Uriel knelt on one knee by a large stone, placing a golden ring in her hands. Lora accepted it wholeheartedly, a tangible symbol of the love that had grown in their hearts across time and distance.

That night, under candlelight, they shared a glass of deep red wine, letting its warmth spread through them as soft, romantic music filled the air. They danced slowly, eyes locked, hearts synchronized, their laughter mingling with the whispers of the wind and the distant songs of birds and owls.

Even Jesiah, who had preceded them, joined in their celebration, bringing food, music, and friendship. Yet the focus remained on Lora and Uriel—their love, their bond, their shared vision of a world filled with peace, joy, and freedom.

“Imagine,” Lora said, her eyes sparkling, “if we could always perceive beauty, even in imperfection; if we could love fully, even with limitations; if we could laugh freely, even in adversity. Life would be a constant miracle.”

Uriel nodded, his hand over hers. “Once darkness falls, light will prevail. Humanity will awaken, and freedom will reign. Love is the most powerful weapon against fear and division.”

As they explored rivers, waterfalls, and forests the next day, their joy became a living thing. Lora’s wish had been fulfilled: to experience life fully, with the love of her life by her side, guided by the stars, the moon, and the quiet miracles that filled the world around them.
